“Virtual reality at the service of real collaboration”

On the largest exhibition platform at this conference, which has become the unmissable meeting place for the new technologies sector, SimforHealth had welcome representatives of associations and industry leaders from across the world in the University Hospital of Angers to highlight the educational value of digital tools in the training of healthcare professionals.

Also attending were Gary SHAPIRO, sponsor of the event and CEO of the CES in Las Vegas, where SimforHealth was selected last January.

In a room of nearly 600 ft2, set up for the occasion in the health simulation center of the University Hospital and University of Angers, visitors of the “Smart Health” delegation have seen how health training can take on a new collaborative role, with professors and students working in virtual reality on the same case, face-to-face or at a distance. Technologies such as HTC Vive virtual reality headsets and Microsoft HoloLens mixed reality glasses had been used for these demonstrations.

MedicActiV, the first training platform via digital simulation, was showcased by immersive and collaborative 3D technologies: VR Uniiit, mobile “all-in-one” kit for virtual reality, the Meetiiim and Shariiing collaboration table, a software solution for sharing, collaboration and presentation.

With collaborations in Canada, the United States, and most recently China, SimforHealth continues to grow to become a global leader in the market of digital health simulation.
