SimforHealth and the University Hospital of Angers present the Health Simulation Center of the future

20 January 2017

The University Hospital of Angers is taking action to rejuvenate the training programs for its students and practicing health professionals. They invited SimforHealth to a day devoted to new health technologies, to present what the “Simulation Center of the Future” might look like.

Accompanied by Prof. Jean-Claude Granry and the University Hospital of Angers Simulation Center, the SimforHealth team turned up to present, in particular, a clinical case in virtual reality and multi-user mode. This enables trainees to learn with their tutor, together or at a distance, and in a totally secure environment.

Technologies like HTC Vive virtual reality headsets and Microsoft HoloLens mixed reality glasses were tested throughout the day by the teaching staff, but also by interns. They were able to see progress and technological advances that are helping medicine, and to share opinions and points of view.
